Pawsitive Ohio has a goal for being a catalyst for change in Northeast Ohio with a focus on spay/neuter, education and the facilitation of adoption events in the area. Seeking to increase collaboration within the animal welfare community, they are holding their first annual adoption and wellness fair which includes the participation of 12 regional rescue groups and 2 spay/neuter resources in an event called Doggone North Canton. In participation with the local pound, they are also sponsoring a Labrador Day adoption event over Labor Day weekend.

It’s A Pittie Rescue (Peotone, Illiniois)
Founded as an all-volunteer rescue, It’s A Pittie Rescue is dedicated to saving America’s most misunderstood dogs from the ongoing pet overpopulation crisis through rehabilitation, education, fostering and adoption. Originally a small group of breed enthusiasts, It’s A Pittie Rescue has expanded into a network of hundreds of volunteers and foster homes spanning the tri-state Chicagoland area. With more than 200,000 Facebook followers, the groups strong outreach to the community has enabled them to advance its animal rescue efforts and education goals as well as find homes for several hundred dogs.
