The Wisconsin Humane Society (Milwaukee, WI) Established in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is one of the oldest and well-recognized non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee area, with shelters located in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine counties. Over the course of 130 years, WHS has cared for literally millions of animals (and touched the hearts of millions of humans in the process ). WHS provides a wide variety of services to more than 5 surrounding counties in the Milwaukee area including adoption, education and outreach, low income spay/neuter clinics, pet food banks and behavior consultations. They are truly a bedrock to the community.

St. Sophia’s Forgotten Felines (Addison, IL)
St. Sophia’s was founded in 2011, and in in less than 3 years has already found homes for more than 500 cats. St. Sophia’s mission is to provide the best care for cats in transition, or cats that are not meant to stay in their care long-term. St. Sophia’s rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes cats from Animal Control facilities in Dupage, Chicago, Aurora, Kendall and Kankakee counties. St. Sophia’s has 30 licensed foster home volunteers who help care for the cats until they find their forever homes.
