CatNap from the Heart is a no-kill shelter dedicated to cats, birds and small mammals located in LaGrange, IL. This year (2013) marks their sweet sixteenth year in operation. In 2012, they were able to do almost 1,100 adoptions, and have already adopted 244 this year! For more information on adopting, volunteering or fostering, please contact them at catnapfromtheheart.org.
Second Hand Purrs Cat Shelter is from Milwaukee, WI and is completely volunteer-based. Established in 2004, they believe every cat deserves a second chance at finding a permanent and loving lifetime home by providing another option to help combat the euthanasia statistics that currently exist in the Milwaukee area. If for any reason the adoption doesn’t work out, their contract requires that the animal be returned to Second Hand Purrs so that they can find a new home. In 2013, their goal is to find homes for 250 cats. For more information on adopting, volunteering or donating, reach out to them at secondhandpurrs.org.
About The High Hopes® for Pets Foundation
The High Hopes® for Pets Foundation is a separate and independent not-for-profit entity, and receives its funding from the sale of High Hopes® all-natural dog treats. Every day, the High Hopes® brand donates 3.5% from every sale (up to 15% of the company’s profits) to the High Hopes® for Pets Foundation. The Foundation, in turn, donates to local shelter and rescue groups throughout the country. To apply for a grant, visit www.highhopesforpets/foundation.
