Operation Scarlet (Lancaster, PA)

Operation Scarlet is a breed rescue dedicated to helping save homeless Shar-Pei. Fully run by volunteers, Operation Scarlet has been helping find forever homes for this wonderfully wrinkled breed for 23 years. The Shar-Pei (pronounced shah pay; meaning sand skin) originated in China over 2,000 years ago and almost became extinct when they were placed in dog fighting rings.
