The Wisconsin Humane Society (Milwaukee, WI)
Established in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is one of the oldest and well-recognized non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee area, with shelters located in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine counties. Over the course of 130 years, WHS has cared for literally millions of animals (and touched the hearts of millions of humans in the process).
WHS provides a wide variety of services to more than 5 surrounding counties in the Milwaukee area including adoption, education and outreach, low income spay/neuter clinics, pet food banks and behavior consultations. They are truly a bedrock to the community. To adopt, volunteer or donate, visit www.wihumane.org.
